In the spring of this year, Falcon installed a brand new composite door and door canopy for a property in Barry, South Wales.
Mr and Mrs Davies wanted to replace their front door without compromising on style or quality. They were keen to find a solution for weatherproofing – they were fed up of getting rained on when returning home and letting themselves in. They were also keen to have a door installed that would increase security and reduce the escape of heat, but one that would also add a touch of elegance to their home.
Falcon used their industry knowledge to suggest a composite door with an elegant door canopy, which would create a quality entrance with an alternative to a full porch.
Mr and Mrs Davies were hugely satisfied with the suggestions and trusted Falcon to update the entrance to their home.
Quality, efficient and secure composite door
Prioritising Mr and Mrs Davies’ desire for quality, style, energy efficiency and security, Falcon installed a high-specification composite door and door canopy, made from modern uPVC, a durable fibreglass coating and thermally efficient solid foam core. Choosing these materials ensured excellent thermal performance – they result in far less heat escaping, helping to insulate the home.
With the additional canopy, the door was further weatherproofed and less susceptible to the elements, which was especially significant given the onset of April showers!
Not only did the new entrance look stylish and reduce the loss of heat, but it also made the whole property more secure. With a robust frame, fibreglass finish and Yale locks offered as standard, the entrance to the home alone would be enough to deter thieves.
Elegantly customised by Falcon
Mr and Mrs Davies were able to choose from many door styles, helping them to match their new improvements to the rest of their home. This includes a bespoke range of various colours, accessories and decorative glass.
Colour choices included traditional options of Black or Red, and bespoke wooden finishes of Golden Oak, Mahogany and Rosewood. There is an equally wide range of hardware options, available in matching white, chrome, satin, bronze, smoke, gold and black finishes.
Mr and Mrs Davies opted for a fresh white finish, with gold hardware and a beautiful custom decorative glazing option, which further helps to retain heat, without compromising on style.
Professional from start to finish
Mr Davies was very pleased with the installation process, discussing how “The installation team arrived on time and were polite, they carried out their work in a professional manner and also cleaned up and left my property tidy. We are very happy with their work.”
With such praise for the installation of the composite entrance and door canopy, it is clear to see why falcon are one of the most popular choices for uPVC windows, doors, conservatories, porches and roofline products in South Wales, as highlighted with the many happy homeowners we have pleased over the years.
