In a recent project, the Falcon team installed a red composite door and diamond glazing into a house in Pontyclun.
The homeowner in question was looking to replace their existing front door with a secure and energy efficient modern equivalent and wanted it to have a striking aesthetic. Falcon recommended that they install a composite door from our range, utilising custom decorative glazing. The homeowner agreed and we got to work.
Red composite door
Made from a combination of uPVC, timber and high density foam, composite doors combine the best properties of each material to create one of the highest performing doors currently available on the market. We decided to recommend that the homeowner installed a composite door for a number of reasons; namely for the extra security, thermal insulation and aesthetics that it would add to the property.
Utilising a solid timber frame, high density foam thermal core and a durable GRP skin, composite doors not only possess incredibly versatile aesthetics, they also have exceptional performance. This makes them perfect for installation in a range of settings.
Woodgrain finish for additional authenticity
We coated the composite door in a woodgrain foil finish to help to improve the overall authenticity of the door, and make it look as if it was a traditional wooden door. Emulating the specific grain of a species of wood, woodgrain foils are the perfect way to add a traditional touch to modern windows and doors. If you want to get the look of real timber windows and doors for less, investing in a woodgrain finish is a wise decision to make.
Decorative diamond glazing
To further enhance the beautiful aesthetics and practicality of the composite door, we also installed custom, decorative double glazing.
Double glazing uses the insulating space between two panes of glass to trap air and slow its escape from a building. Now supplied as standard across the fenestration industry, double glazing can help to significantly improve the warm and energy efficiency of your home. The double glazing we installed in the composite utilised an attractive, diamond design that helped to enhance the overall appearance of the property itself.
