At this time of year, most people want their home to be a cosy and warm place from the cold, winter weather. With the current cost-of-living crisis, the price of energy bills has never been more on our mind.
Falcon composite doors can help you stay warm and lower your energy bills. Our composite doors have several features that make them an excellent addition to your home.
Thermal Efficiency

Composite doors have a great level of thermal efficiency, offering you peace of mind this winter. Our composite doors have U-values as low as 0.8W/m²K. The lower the U-value, the better thermally insulated the product is. Falcon composite doors are much more thermally efficient than uPVC or timber doors – 19 percent more efficient than solid timber core composite doors to be exact. If you’re concerned about the lower temperatures and shorter days that winter brings, hopefully the high-level efficiency of our traditional and contemporary composite doors can ease your worries and help you stay warm.
All Falcon composite doors are Xtreme doors, and Falcon Installations are an approved installer. Not only do these doors have high security standards, but they have superb thermal performance. These doors have a high-density solid polyurethane foam core. This provides superior heat insulation as it makes your home’s thermal envelope much more airtight and waterproof.
We know how important it is to keep your home energy efficient. Our glazed panels are filled with argon. This is a great option for long-term energy performance as argon is inert and non-reactive, which helps the window stay effective. Contemporary and traditional composite doors are available with either double or triple glazing. Triple glazing should be approximately 20-30 percent more efficient, helping you stay warm and cosy within your home.
Keep the draughts out

With a uPVC edge banding and a triple sealed outer frame, our composite doors are weather resistant. They’ve been tested for weather tightness, enduring 2,000 pascals. To put this into perspective, 670 pascals equate to the pressure from a hurricane. Falcon composite doors can withstand the worst British weather can throw at them. The uPVC frames also contain a thermal insert which helps reduce heat transfer.
Our traditional and contemporary composite doors have a UV stable GRP skin. GRP, also known as fibreglass, is waterproof and durable. They require very little maintenance as they have a good resistance to a wide range of chemicals. Our composite doors are corrosion and impact resistant. They are also compression adjustable to achieve optimum weather tightness. This keeps the draughts out as well as providing excellent protection from the weather.
Security features
Our composite doors have a high standard of security. With corrosion and impact resistance, the composite door is incredibly durable. The composite doors installed by Falcon Installations have been tested by the Greater Manchester Police. They were unable to gain entry by using an enforcer. The contemporary and traditional composite doors have a 5 point locking system, which was created to withstand the primary attack methods used by burglars.
The high levels of thermal efficiency in conjunction with incredible levels of durability will help you stay warm in your home, which in turn will help lower your energy bills.
